In many well testing services, the readings of pressure, temperature, and flow are acquired manually and personnel on location input the readings to field software and then email pdf summaries of the readings to the operations staff. The field software also captures any comments inputted by the field personnel such as orifice plate changes or interruptions in the testing. With MRL, the field personnel can upload the pdf summaries to the website directly or in situations where the communications is poor, the MRL middleware will handle the transmissions. Time sheets, operations logs, and other data sets can be posted to the client website.
In some well testing services, the readings are acquired automatically by instrumentation. The MRL middleware can read the values from the instrumentation plus the comments added in the software and transmit them to the client website.
It does not matter if the well testing service data sets are obtained manually or by instrumentation; all of the data sets are easily communicated to the client website within the MRL network and the workflow can continue in the areas of report generation and invoicing.
